Last night of Cubbies

Charlie has participated in AWANA Cubbies at Lakeview Wesleyan Church for the last two years. It is a weekly Bible club for preschoolers. The main goal is for kids to hear Bible stories and learn Scripture verses in a fun atmosphere. For the first year and a half, I (Angie) served as storyteller and songleader each week.

Charlie is really good a memorizing Scripture verses, and he remembers many details from the Bible stories he has heard. He has really loved Cubbies! Tonight was the last meeting of the year, and for Charlie it was the last night of Cubbies altogether. They had a puppet show, and a magician performed, and they gave awards to the kids. Moms and Dads were invited. Charlie earned his second book award, meaning he learned all the verses (25 in all) in his book for the second year in a row!

The photo above is of Charlie, in his Cubbies vest, standing in the church entryway proudly displaying his award ribbon and his certificate of participation. Phil and I are very proud of Charlie and his accomplishments in Cubbies these last two years! :)
