Charlie's friend, Corbin, spent the day with us today. Corbin and Charlie were adopted from the same orphanage in Haiti. We met Corbin's parents through our adoption agency, long before either of us had kids. They used to live more than 2 hours away by car, but last summer Corbin's dad got a job in Upland, which is only a 15-minute drive from our house!
Anyway, after having breakfast and playing at McDonald's, the boys swam in our backyard pool for over an hour despite the cold water. Then we had lunch, after which I got the boys busy planting some bean seeds. (A future blog post will be devoted to our bean-growing adventures.) The boys finished out the day watching a video on TV. Although both boys were ready for a nap, they certainly wouldn't admit it!
