Today was Charlie's last day of preschool/daycare because, starting next week, I'm home for the summer! Today was also Haitian Flag Day, and the Haitian flag was born in the same town (Arcahaie) where Charlie was born. So, I sent a small Haitian flag with Charlie to school along with a book about Haiti that I made for him. Charlie's teacher, Ms. Cynthia, read the book to the class, and they seemed excited to learn about Haiti and Flag Day. Most of the photos in the book were taken by me last summer when I spent two weeks helping with a teacher training seminar on the island of La Gonave.
