We feel very blessed to live in Indiana where there are quite a number of families who have adopted from Haiti. We feel very fortunate to have two opportunities each year to get together with these families for a weekend away. Each August the group gathers for a weekend at a church camp in Bedford (southern Indiana), and each February the group gathers for a weekend at the Holiday Inn Fundome in Fort Wayne (northeastern Indiana).
For each of the last 3 years (2003-2005), we've gone to summer camp; however, this past summer (2006), I (Angie) was still recovering from Dengue Fever when it was camp time, and we didn't go. So, we decided we should make an effort to go this winter.
There were a few families we knew and many new ones we had not met before. The kids spent time playing in the two-story playland and in the pool while the adults just sat and relaxed. It was a great time!
